These terms cover your use of Alchemy Cast, the website at alchemycast.app and the app, and any paid plan you buy.
Using Alchemy Cast
Alchemy Cast is a planning tool for lost-wax casting. You can use the free version without an account. By using the website or the app you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Alchemy Cast.
Paid plans
Hobby and Studio are subscriptions billed monthly or yearly. Our online reseller and Merchant of Record is Lemon Squeezy, which handles payment, sales tax and VAT, invoices and receipts. When you buy a plan you also agree to Lemon Squeezy's buyer terms.
- Your plan renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time from the link in your receipt email or from My Orders. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.
- If we change a plan's price, we'll tell you by email before your next renewal, and the new price applies from that renewal.
- Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
License keys
Each purchase comes with a license key that turns on your plan in the app. A key is for you, or for the people in your own workshop. Please don't share it publicly or resell it. We may turn off a key that is being shared or misused.
Your files and data
The models, trees, quotes and cast logs you work on stay on your own device. We don't upload or store them. You keep all rights to your own work. Because your data lives in your browser, please keep your own backups using the app's export options.
Casting is dangerous work
Lost-wax casting involves molten metal, kilns, investment powder and chemicals. Alchemy Cast gives estimates and suggestions, such as metal weights, sprue sizes, burnout schedules and prices, that can be wrong or not suit your equipment and materials. Always check them against your supplier's instructions and your own judgment, and follow proper safety practice. You are responsible for how you use the results.
No warranty
Alchemy Cast is provided "as is" and "as available". We work hard to keep it accurate and running, but we don't promise it will be error-free, uninterrupted or fit for a particular purpose. Metal prices and exchange rates come from outside services and may be delayed or wrong.
Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, Alchemy Cast is not liable for lost metal, failed casts, damaged equipment, lost profits or data, or any indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be waived.
Changes
We may update these terms as Alchemy Cast changes. We'll change the date at the top when we do, and tell paying customers by email about any significant change.
