Export and the tree diagram

#Exporting for a printer

Click Export Tree Model to save the whole tree, with its pieces, feeds, trunk and button, ready for a resin printer. Pick STL or 3MF in the box beside the button.

The file is Z-up, in millimetres, and sits flat on the build plate. Shrinkage scaling, if you turned it on, is applied to the export.

Tip: On a custom tree, the export runs the tree check first. See Custom sprue tree.

#Building the tree by hand

If you build trees from wax wire and rod, click Create 2D Diagram, or open the Tree diagram tab. It makes a printable build sheet with:

• a side elevation of the tree, with measurements,
• a cut list with each sprue's size, length and quantity, matched to standard wax wire and rod,
• the build steps, in order.

Print it, or download the drawing, to keep at the bench.
