Kiln program sheet

Every kiln controller words its program differently. The kiln program sheet turns your burnout cycle into the exact segments your controller expects, so you can key it in without converting anything.

#Choosing your controller

On the Investing & burnout tab, open the 4 · Kiln program card and pick Your kiln controller. There are 12 to choose from, from Orton, Paragon, Evenheat and Bartlett, plus generic PID controllers.

#What the sheet shows

• Each segment as a rate, a target temperature and a hold, in the words the controller's display uses.
• The controller's code for full speed, and how it wants holds written.
• The key presses to enter the program.
• Notes for that controller, and the manual the details came from.

Generic PID controllers (the C01/t01 kind) get a list of temperatures and minutes instead.

#Printing it

Click Print program sheet to print just this sheet, to keep by the kiln.
